Pharmacological action
Antiestrogens drug unsteroids structure. Stimulates ovulation in the blockade of receptors that are sensitive to estrogen in the hypothalamus, ovaries and other organs that contain this type of receptors and, through feedback, enhances the secretion of pituitary gonadotrophic hormones, particularly luteinizing hormone. This, in turn, stimulates the maturation and endocrine activity of the follicle in the ovary, as well as the subsequent formation and functioning of the corpus luteum.
Statement
- Stimulation of ovulation in women with infertility due to secondary hypothyroidism ovaries, mainly due to functional hypothalamic-pituitary disorders.
Dosage regimen
Clomid is prescribed in doses of 50 mg 1 time / day after meals. Length of treatment is 5 days (from 5 th to 9 th day of menstrual cycle). In the absence of the expected effect, approximately 30 days after the first course, a second 5-day course of treatment by giving 100 mg 1 time / day.
Side effect
On the part of the ovaries and endocrine status: transient increase in the ovaries, accompanied by discomfort or abdominal pain, increased sensitivity of the mammary glands, a rush of blood to the face.
On the part of the organ of vision: transient disturbances in the form of blur vision, shimmering cattle, functional changes of the retina, established in electroretinography.
On the part of the liver: a delay of excretion bromsulfaleina, jaundice (in rare cases).
Dermatological reactions: atopic dermatitis, reversible alopecia.
Other: nausea, vomiting, irritability, insomnia, headache, dizziness, fatigue.
Contraindications
- Uterine bleeding of unknown etiology;
- Malignant tumors of the uterus or mammary gland;
- Pregnancy;
- Primary ovarian dysfunction;
- Ovarian cysts (polycystic apart);
- Endometriosis;
- Failure of the ovaries on the background of hyperprolactinemia;

Pregnancy and lactation
The drug is contraindicated during pregnancy.

Cautions
